Steps for Online MSME Registration Procedure 

To start the Online MSME Registration Procedure, one must first apply for it. As a government-sponsored technology, Udyam registration integrates with the Internal Revenue Service and the GSTIN database. Firms that are exempt from applying the GST Act are not required to obtain a GSTIN to operate.

Application Process

  1. Only businesses that are registered under the GST framework are eligible to apply for Udyam registration.
  2. By enrolling on the Udyam website, you can obtain an MSME registration, and the portal will not charge you any fees in exchange for providing this service to you.
  3. Following the submission of an application, a confirmation message will appear on the computer screen, containing the registration confirmation code number.
  4. The MSME ministry will deliver the MSME certificate or Udyam registration certificate to the applicant’s e-mail address on file once the verification procedure is completed.
  5. After receiving the application, the MSME registration documents will process, and issue the MSME registration certificate within a few days.
  6. The MSME certification is valid for life and does not have to be renewed.

MSME Registration Procedure Steps are as Follows

  1. The MSME enrollment form is available on the official website. You can register at https://Udyamregistration.gov.in/ or https://msmeregistrar.org/ and enter all your information.
  2. Based on the information provided in the application form and accompanying documents, an applicant is assigned an MSME registration online number.
  3. In step three, complete the registration process by paying with a credit card over the internet.
  4. An MSME registration certificate may be issued within days after payment has been completed and approved by the appropriate authority.
  5. An email with a copy of the candidate’s MSME application will be sent to the email address provided on the MSME portal. 

For new entrepreneurs who have not yet been registered as an MSME or those who have EM-II the Online MSME Registration Procedure is as follows: 

New entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs with EM-II registration must register MSME by clicking the button “For New Entrepreneurs who are not Registered as MSME yet or those with EM-II” on the home page. The Aadhaar card number and PAN number are required for new MSME registration.

When the “For New Entrepreneurs who are not yet Registered as MSME or those with EM-II” button on the homepage of the government portal is clicked, it opens the registration page and asks for the entrepreneur’s Aadhaar number and name. After entering these details, click the “Validate and Generate OTP Button.”
